Subway is quick lunch or inexpensive dinner on Anna Maria Island

Subway is located on East Bay drive in Holmes Beach. They have all your typical amenities that all subway’s provide. Fresh baked bread, cookies, and a toasted sub if need be. Watch while the Subway staff services you to make your sub in front of you. Great for on the go or an impromptu beach picnic. Subway also offers platters of subs for larger gatherings and they are very affordable. They do have a small plastic table outside in case you want to eat on site outside as well as seating for about 20 people inside. If you need a fast and inexpensive lunch or dinner then Subway could be a quick answer.
Just a quick 3 minute walk down the plaza you can find Walgreens which will offer more food supplies if need be. Soda, chips, and other sub sandwich necessities for a larger group. Also, lots of gift shopping around if you need to slip in some gift shopping. Plenty to do at the East Bay Drive Plaza.

Looking for a quick bite to eat? China 1 which calls its home on Anna Maria Island in Holmes Beach is a great alternative for either take out or eat in. They have a small area where you can eat in with about 5 tables. Of course take out encompasses the majority of their business. There food is good and my son loves the orange chicken or the sesame chicken. They offer a more reasonable meal
Tortilla Bay serves fresh Tex-Mex food in a diner like environment. The restaurant offers less than the usual amount of variety however the food quality makes up for the choices. Everything I have tried has been a favorite. Taco’s, a delectable taco shell salad with your choice of chicken, pork, or beef, and burritos. They have a few choices for your children which comes with a soft drink and choice of cookie. Most meals are served with nacho chips and a small portion of salsa. You can purchase guacamole, sour cream, or extra salsa for a minimal charge. A must try is the Queso cheese dip, it’s fantastic! My five year old son even dips his chocolate chip cookie in the dip because obviously it tastes better than the cookie. Now that’s a compliment coming from a five year old!
Melinda’s is a small cafe located in the heart of Holmes Beach on Anna Maria Island. Melinda’s is normally closed on Mondays and offers free wireless Internet. They pride themselves on using fresh ingredients and ask for your patience in doing so. Melinda’s offers a fabulous breakfast and lunch for $6-$12 and currently sell Beer and Wine as well as take Visa and Mastercard. Try their fabulous nacho chips with special hot sauces. If you love one of their special hot sauces pick up a small jar for the road so you can enjoy a slice of Melinda’s longer than just breakfast or lunch. 
Ok everyone I have a restaurant you all have to try! The Café on the Beach is the place to be on the weekends or any day really. On the weekends you can enjoy the famous “All You Can Eat” pancake breakfast. Friends of mine were there recently and said, “It isn’t just pancakes. You actually get a full breakfast!” During the week they offer delights such as hamburgers, hotdogs and snacks for relaxing days at the Manatee Public Beach in Holmes Beach. This is a great location to enjoy our beaches because you have a lifeguard on duty, a playground, public 
restrooms, a large Vpublic parking lot and a little beach shop for Florida souvenirs. It is also perfect if you have little kids because you unpack the car once, and you have facilities near by to keep them happy. As a new mom I can’t wait until my little one is big enough to enjoy the azure blue waters of the Gulf of Mexico, sugar soft sand of Manatee Beach and the all you can eat pancakes that I remember from my childhood.
The Mexican restaurant Casa Del Sol, located in Bradenton, Florida on the North side of Cortez road. The atmosphere with its indoor water fountain and colorful decor makes you feel as if you have stepped into a restaurant in Mexico. Open for over two years under the direction of husband and wife Gustavo and Blanca who adhere to family traditions in both the charming decor of the restaurant and of course, in the food. They take pride in their commitment to use fresh, authentic ingredients and couple that with a friendly and genuine hospitality to make Casa Del Sol a wonderful restaurant to visit.
vegetarian dishes such as spinach crepes with chipotle cream sauce, enchiladas with poblano peppers along side the more traditional chicken or beef dishes.
Rotten Ralph’s now has two locations on Anna Maria Island. Their first location is in Anna Maria City and their second location is found at the end of Bridge Street in Bradenton Beach, Fl. The two locations are extremely different. The Anna Maria location is more like a marina’s afterthought so if you are a boater this location is perfect. Before or after your meal you can walk the marina and dream a 
little about owning one of the several million dollar yachts. The newer location on bridge street is a bit of new “old Florida” and frankly the first time we visited the new location in Bradenton Beach we were pleasantly surprised. After your meal walk the pier and people watch on the several swings provided or watch the fishing or boats pass you by. It’s a perfect opportunity for your family to relax together and have a little fun while sharing the experiences that Anna Maria Island has to offer.
